DESPERATE MEASURES “Barbara McGrady”
Director — Documentary
I collaborated closely with Producer Alec Doomadgee to create a series of short documentaries for NITV/SBS. One of the standout features of the Desperate Measures series was the episode on Barbara McGrady, a renowned Indigenous photographer based in Sydney.
This documentary captured Barbara’s compelling story and illustrious career, highlighting her contributions to the field of photography and her unique perspective on documenting Indigenous culture and social issues. Through an intimate interview and powerful visuals, I showcased Barbara’s journey, her passion for storytelling through the lens, and her impact on the community. The series shed light on important narratives and celebrating the achievements of remarkable individuals like Barbara McGrady.
